Domestic childcare workers placement agencies

Nyarai Home of Humility is strongly positioned to contribute to the African Union ECED–FLN Cluster on Accelerating Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) and Foundational Learning through its practical, community-based approach to care, workforce development, and family support systems. For over a decade, Nyarai has worked at the intersection of household care, childcare, and workforce placement, directly influencing the environments where young children grow, learn, and develop. By recruiting, training, and placing caregivers and nannies in homes, Nyarai plays a critical role in shaping the quality of early stimulation, safety, nutrition, and responsive caregiving that underpin foundational learning outcomes. Nyarai’s emerging training programmes in housekeeping and home-based care, including modules on childcare, hygiene, nutrition, and professional conduct, provide a scalable model for strengthening the informal care workforce—a segment often overlooked in formal ECED systems. This positions the organization to offer valuable insights into how home-based caregivers can be upskilled and integrated into broader early childhood development strategies, particularly in urban and peri-urban African contexts. Additionally, Nyarai’s close engagement with families gives it a unique perspective on parental needs, childcare gaps, and socio-economic barriers affecting access to quality early childhood support. This lived, market-facing experience is critical for designing policies and frameworks that are both practical and responsive to real household dynamics. Through its focus on dignity, trust, and professionalism, Nyarai also advances the conversation around decent work in the care economy, aligning with continental priorities on gender equity and economic empowerment—especially for women, who form the majority of the care workforce. By bridging the gap between homes, caregivers, and systems, Nyarai brings a grounded, implementation-focused voice to the ECED–FLN Cluster, with the potential to inform scalable, inclusive, and sustainable models for advancing early childhood development across Africa. Looking forward to adding our voice on the table where domestic childcare workers have been forgotten.
